About the Barcode Generator

Which symbology fits my data?
CODE128 accepts any text, EAN-13 needs 12 or 13 digits, UPC-A 11 or 12, CODE39 takes A-Z 0-9 and a few symbols, ITF-14 is for shipping containers, and Pharmacode encodes numbers 3 to 131070.
Why do I get an error for my value?
Each format has strict character and length rules โ a letter in an EAN-13, for example, cannot be encoded, and the message tells you what the format allows.
Will the barcode scan from the PNG?
Yes, provided the bars are printed or displayed at a reasonable size; keep the height above 30 pixels and avoid aggressive image compression.
