About the Wheel of Names

A colorful spinning wheel that picks a winner from your entries with a smooth 3.6-second ease-out animation. Type one entry per line, spin, and the segment under the pointer becomes the winner, with the last ten results tracked as previous winners. Entries can also be comma separated for quick lists.

How to use the Wheel of Names

  1. Type your entries in the editor, one per line โ€” at least two are needed.
  2. Press SPIN THE WHEEL and wait for the animation to settle.
  3. Read the winner announced under the pointer triangle.
  4. Spin repeatedly; Previous winners keeps the running list.

Wheel of Names FAQ

How is the winner chosen?

The wheel lands at a random angle computed before the animation, and whichever segment finishes under the top pointer is the winner โ€” no peeking, no bias toward position.

Can I remove a winner and spin again?

Yes โ€” delete their line from the entries box and the wheel redraws instantly with the remaining segments.

How many entries fit on the wheel?

There is no hard cap, but beyond a few dozen segments the labels truncate to 18 characters for readability, so keep entry names short for large lists.
