About the Fuel Cost Calculator
Budget a road trip by entering the distance, your car's efficiency and the fuel price. Efficiency accepts liters per 100 km, kilometers per liter or US miles per gallon, and the results include fuel needed in liters, total cost, cost per kilometer and an even split between however many people are sharing.

US miles per gallon are converted to liters using the standard relation behind 235.215 MPG-to-L/100km, so the liters consumed stay consistent with the other unit choices.
Can the cost be split between passengers?
Yes โ set the split count and the Per person tile divides the total evenly, which the summary line restates for the whole trip.
Why is the price asked per liter?
Most of the world prices fuel per liter; if your station quotes per gallon, divide by 3.785 to get the per-liter figure before entering it.
