How to use the PDF Merge & Split
- Add one or more PDFs — each shows its page count so you can confirm the right files.
- To combine, click "Merge" and all documents are concatenated in order into merged.pdf.
- To split, pick a source document, enter the first and last page of the range, and extract.
- Download the result; repeat as many times as you like — nothing is stored.
PDF Merge & Split FAQ
Are my PDFs uploaded anywhere?
No. Files are parsed and rewritten in browser memory by the pdf-lib JavaScript library. Confidential documents stay on your device.
Can I merge encrypted PDFs?
PDFs with owner-level restrictions usually load thanks to ignoreEncryption, but passwords you must type to open the file are not supported — unlock those in your PDF reader first.
Does splitting keep the original quality?
Yes. Pages are copied structurally, not re-rendered, so text stays selectable and images keep their original resolution.
How do I extract a single page?
Set both "From page" and "To page" to the same number — for example 3 to 3 — and you get a one-page PDF.
