Color Converter FAQ

Which color formats are supported as input?

Hex in 3 or 6 digits, rgb() and rgba() strings, hsl() and hsla() strings, and any of the standard CSS named colors such as tomato or rebeccapurple. Invalid input shows a clear error instead of a wrong color.

Is the conversion accurate?

Yes โ€” all conversions use the standard sRGB formulas, with hue in degrees and S, L, V and CMYK channels in percent. Values are rounded for display but computed from the exact input.

Does my color leave the browser?

No. All conversion happens locally in JavaScript; nothing is sent to any server.
