JSON ⇄ YAML
Two-way JSON/YAML conversion for config files.
Supports nested objects, arrays, scalars, quoted strings and comments. Advanced YAML features (anchors, block scalars, flow syntax) are not supported.
About the JSON ⇄ YAML
Convert JSON to YAML or YAML to JSON for config files, CI pipelines and Kubernetes manifests. Nested objects, arrays, scalars, quoted strings and comments in YAML input are handled, and errors report the exact line where parsing failed. Both directions share one editor with a tab switch.
How to use the JSON ⇄ YAML
- Pick a direction: JSON → YAML or YAML → JSON.
- Paste your document into the editor.
- Copy the converted output from the result box.
- Switch tabs to convert the result back in the other direction.
JSON ⇄ YAML FAQ
Which YAML features are supported?
The common core: nested mappings, sequences, scalars, quoted strings and comments. Advanced features like anchors, aliases and block scalars are not supported and will error.
Why does my YAML file fail to parse?
Most often it uses anchors (&x) or multi-line block scalars that the lightweight parser skips; expand those constructs manually and the conversion succeeds.
Is the output valid for Kubernetes or CI configs?
Yes for plain structures — objects and lists convert directly — but review the result if your file relies on YAML-specific features that have no JSON equivalent.
