Reading Time FAQ
Which speed should I trust for my blog?
The Average reader row at 200 words per minute is the standard used by most content tools; times round to the nearest minute, and anything under a minute shows as seconds.
Why is speaking slower than reading?
Speaking aloud averages roughly 130 words per minute against 200 for silent reading, and presenters who pause for emphasis run closer to 110, which is why the table separates the three.
Can it time a presentation script?
Yes. Paste the script and read the Presenter (110 wpm) row; the estimate updates instantly as you trim or extend the text.
