How to use the Salary Calculator

  1. Choose a tab: I know my hourly rate, or I know my annual salary.
  2. Enter the amount you know into the labeled field.
  3. Adjust Hours per week and Weeks worked per year to match your contract.
  4. Read the stat tiles and the full seven-row breakdown.

Salary Calculator FAQ

Why do weeks per year matter?

The annual figure multiplies hourly pay by hours times weeks, so 52 weeks assumes no unpaid leave โ€” subtract unpaid weeks, for example 48 for a four-week break, to reflect real income.

How is the daily figure derived?

It assumes eight-hour workdays, multiplying the hourly rate by 8 regardless of your weekly hours, as noted under the table.

Are these amounts before or after tax?

They are gross, pre-tax figures; deductions vary by jurisdiction, so treat the output as a starting point for budgeting rather than take-home pay.
