  2. Set a comfortable volume, then press Play.
  3. Stop playback when finished; the generator shuts down completely.

Noise Generator FAQ

What is the difference between the noise colors?

White has equal energy per frequency and sounds hissy. Pink has equal energy per octave, which most people find gentler. Brown accumulates the signal for a low rumble โ€” popular for sleep and concentration.

Can I download the noise as a file?

Not currently โ€” the generator synthesizes audio in real time via the Web Audio API. A screen or system-audio recorder can capture it if you need an offline copy.

Is it safe to listen for hours?

Keep the volume moderate, especially with headphones. Noise masking is most effective at the lowest volume that covers the distraction.
