About the Discount Calculator

Why is 25% off plus 20% off not 45% off?
Stacked discounts multiply: 25% then 20% leaves 0.75 ร 0.80 = 60% of the price, an effective 40% discount, and the tool states this explicitly under the results.
When is tax applied?
After both discounts, matching how retail checkout computes tax on the discounted price rather than the sticker price.
Can I model a single simple sale?
Yes โ leave the extra discount and tax at 0 and you get the plain sale price and savings for one percentage.
